Thoth the ibis headed was the Egyptian god of wisdom and writing. Thoth conceived himself at the beginning of time, and was the scribe to the gods and husband of Ma`at. He recorded the results of the weighing of a spirits heart against the feather of Ma`at. He is also credited with the invention of astronomy, geometry and medicine.
