Anubis; the son of Osiris and Nephthys, is portrayed here in his jackal form, though he is more commonly represented as a jackal-headed man. Anubis first attained renown after conducting the first embalming in history on his father Osiris, whom was dismembered by his brother, Set. This granted Osiris immortality, and both father and son ruled over different aspects of the underworld. This statue is cold cast resin & hand painted, measuring 5 1/2" in length. | | | |
